Happenings Hon’ble Governor of M.P, Mrs. Anandiben Patel chaired the valedictory function of International Dharma-Dhamma Conference based on Shakta Tantra in Sanchi University. 34 International and 130 intellectuals from India presented their research papers during the International Dharma-Dhamma Conference.      * A five day workshop on “Writing Indian Philosophy in Modern Perspective” was organized in the University. Various topics like Vedant & Physics, Consciousness and Modern Science etc. were deeply discussed.      * 86 year old Emeritus Professor of Taisho University, Tokyo, Japan visited Sanchi University. Professor Riyojun Sato explained how Buddhism reached Japan through Tibet and China.      * Department of Chinese language became overall champion in the Annul Sports events. Chinese language students won Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Athletics and Tug of War in outdoor events. This team also bagged gold in Carrom.      * Retired Professor from IIT, Delhi, Dr. V.K. Tripathi delivered a special lecture in Sanchi University on various aspects of “Self Reliance in Education & Thoughts"      * Two Ph.D students of department of Indian Painting were selected in Delhi Subordinate Selection Board as PGT for painting.      * A team of 135 students of Kashmir visited Sanchi University. These students conversed and exchanged their views with students of Sanchi University.      * Students from different Polytechnic institutes of Nagaland visited Sanchi University.      * Ph.D student from the Department of Indian Painting, Bharat Kumar Jain won national level painting competition organized by All India Fine Arts & Craft Society, New Delhi.

Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies shall be located very close to Sanchi - the world heritage site, famous for the Stupa. The picturesque location is surrounded by green fields & forest laden hills.

This University is meant to address the global issues & shall generally cover educationalists, academicians, philosophers, researchers, practitioners from all over the world, but shall primarily focus on Asian countries - the land of genesis & spread of Buddhist-Indic culture. All aspects of Buddhist-Indic Studies from philosophy to culture; from economics to governance shall be addressed in totality. It shall invite knowledge & wisdom from all ten directions; shall realise, redeem, research, refine and refurbish it further to disseminate in all spheres of life and contribute to the efforts in making 'Mother Earth' a better place to live in. This shall also contribute to the interaction among Asian countries and facilitate cross pollination of ideas & foster harmony among different Asian civilizations.
