School of Language, Literature and Arts  

School of Language, Literature and Arts is having centres viz. Centre for Foreign Languages, Centre for Indian Languages, Centre for Asian Arts and Cultures and Centre for Indian Arts and Culture. The School of Language, Literature and Arts is being developed as a major centre for teaching and research in Languages, Literatures Arts and Culture of India, Asia and rest of the World. The School's core objective is to promote study and knowledge of languages, literatures, arts and cultures worldwide. The School has successfully conducted Short Term Certificate Course in Sanskrit Language in 2015. From the academic session 2016-17, the school is all set to launch its Ph. D and M. Phil. Programmes in Sanskrit, Hindi, English and Post Graduate Programme (MA) in Sanskrit language. Along with these programmes, School has designed English Proficiency, Chinese and Hindi language Courses for the University’s PG Programmes (MA) in Buddhists Studies, Sanskrit and Indian Philosophy. Simultaneously, it is also planning to organize Short Term Courses in the field of Sanskrit language, Vedic Studies, Hindi for foreign students, Chinese language and English language Competency for non-native speakers. These programmes will be designed to cater to the requirements of the participants by keeping in view functional and theoretical areas. The school will be organizing Special Lecture Series and Seminars /Workshops/Conferences/ Refresher Courses on regular basis. Its future plan is to pursue research in the comparative studies and undertake translation of original manuscripts.
