PROF. DR. NAVEEN KUMAR MEHTA

Prof.Dr. Naveen Kumar Mehta is presently serving as Dean-Academics, Professor & Head, Department of English, Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies, Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh. He is also a member of Executive Council and Academic Council of the University.He has been nominated as member of the Board of Management and also serves as member of Research Development Committees and Boards of Studies at a number of reputed institutions across Bharat.

He has more than 20+ years of research, academic and teaching experience. He isUGC-NET and SLET qualifiedand holds postgraduate degrees inEnglish Literature, Education and Business Management, along withtwo Ph.D. degrees in English Literature and Management. He is anExecutive Education Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indoreand was Honoured by the Prime Minister of India and the Ministry of HRD in 2000. He was elected aFellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland in January 2013.

Prof. Mehta has successfully completed professional development courses and earned Certificates of Achievement fromMIT, USA; Harvard University, USA; University of Oxford, UK; University of Cambridge, UK and has also completed FDPs fromCIEFL, Hyderabad; IIT Bombay; IIT Roorkee, IIM Ahmedabad; IIM Indore; and IIM Bangalore.

Prof. Mehta has authored 100+ research papers and articles. His publications have appeared in journals including Kipling Journal, Translation Journal, USA; Houston Literary Review, Texas, USA; Rhesis, Poland; ASEBL Journal, USA; Philologia, Romania; OMAN Journal of ELT, DICE Europe, Speech and Context, Moldova, JHSS,University of Aradand ERL Journal, Poland.He has been contributing extensively as a Content Developer and Resource Person at several universities and academic institutions.

He also continues to serve on the Editorial Boards of numerous national and international journals.He has published 10+ booksand has05+ patents registered in areas related to English Language and Literature, Management and Education.In recognition of his academic contributions, he was conferred with the prestigious VishishtShikshaSamman–2024 by VIPSAR, Indore.

He has also been adjudged Best Paper Presenter on more than seven occasions at reputed international seminars and conferences. Under his supervision, 12+scholars have been awarded Ph.D./M.Phil. degrees, while more than 50 postgraduate students in English have completed their dissertations under his guidance.His areas of research include Indian Writing in English Literature, English Language, Spirituality, Indian Literary Theory, Literature and BhartiyaGyanParampara, Cultural Studies, Post-Colonial Studies, Literature and AI, Afro-American Literature, Gender Studies, Translation Studies and Soft Skills.
